The Filipino American is the product of two distinct and unique cultures - the Philippine and the American, a host of varied and mixed influences, and a beautiful blend of Western and Eastern values, lifestyles and patterns.

Organization and Activities
PACBC is incorporated as a tax-exempt, non-profit, non-partisan, and non-sectarian community organization community organization. It is
governed by an Executive Board composed of the 13 elected officers and 11 regional delegates constituting the Board of Trustees. Its policies, programs and activities are carried out by 11 standing committees and a number of ad hoc or special committees. Its important activities include an annual Thanksgiving mass in November, a Christmas party for children every December, an annual carolling to raise funds for scholarship, free musical entertainment given to residents of several nursing homes, a cotillion of teenage girls during the induction and inaugural ball, free blood pressure check-up to Bergen residents, a Valentine disco in February, picnics during the Summer, birthday and anniversary parties, and get-together meetings.
Membership
Regular meetings is open to all Filipinos, Americans of Filipino ancestry, or anyone married to a Filipino or Filipino American. Others can become special members if they are interested in promoting the welfare of the Filipino American community. Honorary membership is presented to those who have done significant contribution for the social, economic, and cultural advancement of Filipino Americans in Bergen County.
